How your price is made
The world price is the same everywhere. What you pay depends on what comes after it.
Where gold is cheaper
Karat puts every country price side by side and converts the difference to a quantity people actually buy.
Before a trip, you see whether gold costs less there than at home.
That is €241 more on 100 g than in the cheapest country.
What your gold or silver is worth
You enter the weight and the purity. Karat works out the metal value at the world price and shows what buyers usually pay: 95 to 99% of that for gold bars and coins, 85 to 95% for gold jewellery. Silver goes from 999 down to 800 purity, bars and coins at 85 to 97%, jewellery and cutlery at 70 to 90%.
Stones and settings do not count. Get more than one offer. In India, Karat includes the import duty. The calculator is free, no account needed.

Karat works without knowing who you are. If you switch notifications on, the server needs a few details for that; the privacy policy says which.
